Recorded in New Orleans on 27 Sept. 1971, this single was released on Atlantic Records in March 1972.  It is by many accounts an all-time Northern Soul (British) favourite.  Bonnie was lead vocalist.

Song perhaps most synonomous with the Pointer Sisters.  The song was selected as one of the “Songs of the Century” by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), listed #264 out of 365 songs.  It has been featured in several major movies.

JUMP FOR MY LOVE
This song got the Pointer Sisters the  Grammy Award  for "Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal" in 1985.

AUTOMATIC
This song got the Pointer Sisters the  Grammy Award  for "Best Vocal Arrangement for Two or More Voices" in 1984.  Song went to #5 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart.  It went to #1 in the Republic of Ireland.  The song was famously featured in the game GTA: Vice City, which sold over 17 million copies worldwide.

SLOW HAND
In August 1981 this ballad from the Black & White album peaked at #2 on Billboard's Top Ten chart and remained there 3 weeks. In 1982 Pointer Sisters received a Grammy nomination for the song.  Song was written by John Bettis & Michael Clark.

HE'S SO SHY
In 1980 this song went to #3 on Billboard's Top Ten chart and got the Pointer Sisters a Grammy nomination.  The song was written by Tom Snow & Cynthia Weil.

FAIRYTALE
“Fairytale” got the Pointer Sisters their first  Grammy Award  in 1975 for "Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal."  They became the first black female singers to ever perform on The Grand Ole Opry.  Fairytale was also recorded by Elvis Presley.  Song was co-written by Anita and Bonnie.

In 1975 this song went to #1 on the U.S. R&B chart and stayed there 2 weeks. The song got the Pointer Sisters a Grammy nomination. It was co-written by Anita and Bonnie.
